Regional Sales Manager

We are looking for an aggressive sales hunter in the healthcare space.

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be responsible for driving sales of Avizia's products in a defined geographical territory with an emphasis on healthcare customers. The RSM will interact with clinical and C-level decision makers to promote Avizia hardware, software, and service products. The RSM will also be responsible for selling to telehealth network customers. They will devise and implement market, channel, and sales strategies to drive business in the assigned territory. The RSM is also responsible for competitive knowledge within the territory.

In addition, the RSM will proactively engage with the extended team and Value Added Reseller community to ensure customer satisfaction and service in the territory. The RSM will meet sales goals and objectives as assigned by the Regional Vice President of Sales.

Candidate must live in the designated sales region and be able to work remotely.  The ideal location is California or Arizona.  Travel up to 50% is required.  Sales region includes, but is not limited to California, Arizona, and Hawaii.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed the assigned sales quota for Avizia's product portfolio
  • Understand and articulate Avizia’s vision, strategy, and architectural approach to healthcare solutions
  • Prioritize strategic accounts and jointly develop sales strategies with Strategic Accounts personnel
  • Adopt and use the Avizia Buying Journey process
  • Forecast and report activities accurately using SFDC
  • Comply with all Avizia policies and quality processes
  • Regularly report pipeline to Regional Vice President of Sales and Senior VP of Sales
  • Make regular account calls into the targeted accounts
  • Elevate level of contact to C-level and key clinical personnel
  • Work directly with customers and key partners, for example, Cisco, to drive sales
  • Conduct ongoing research and identify key opportunities and initiatives by territory with specific focus on hospitals, telemedicine companies, PSOs, and ACOs
  • Demonstrate hardware and software products
  • Respond to RFPs as needed and work cross-functionally to find specific solutions
  • Conduct periodic account reviews with customer
  • Conduct internal customer account reviews as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5+ years’ experience in a healthcare sales role
  • Proven quantifiable track record of sales over-achievement. 
  • In-depth knowledge of the healthcare market and how to sell into it
  • Familiarity with healthcare terminology and workflow processes preferred
  • Sales, Sales Consulting, and Field Sales Operations experience
  • Strong team player
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communications skills
  • Ability to represent concepts, as well as summarize and communicate complex ideas and clearly articulate business value to C-level and clinical decision makers
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple, on-going projects with a high attention to detail.
  • Adept at communicating with a largely healthcare audience
  • Technical or video background preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

Additional Information

The position is located indoors in an office environment in a home office.  The incumbent must be able to communicate with other individuals in person, via video, phone, and through email.  The incumbent may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and the job requires the incumbent to use reasoning and judgment to address and solve business problems.  The incumbent must demonstrate manual dexterity in order to use common office equipment. Applicant may be required to lift up to 10 pounds on an occasional basis.  This position requires 50% travel, as needed.
