Patient Concierge

Avizia’s Patient Concierge is a critical member of our Virtual Clinic Team, who shares the goal of providing exceptional customer service to our patients and assisting our provider team by ensuring they are quickly connected with waiting patients.  The Patient Concierge is the first point of contact for Avizia’s patients via telephone and provides excellent customer service while connecting callers with the correct resource to meet their administrative or clinical need.  The Virtual Clinic is a 24/7 environment and shifts will include evenings and/or weekends.  This position will work shifts on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 1:00 - 9:00 pm PST.

This position will be located at Avizia’s office in Seattle, WA.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate services among patients, clinics, and providers
  • Assist medical providers in collection of patient information
  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to team member emails
  • Assist patients with questions regarding Avizia’s services
  • Enter and maintain patient information in electronic medical records
  • Process provider referrals and schedule appointments as needed
  • Escalate issues to management when necessary
  • Take messages for patients that wish to communicate with their on-call provider after hours
  • Must be able to work atypical shift hours including evenings, weekends, and overnight hours
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate’s degree preferred
  • 1+ years’ experience in a customer service role
  • Relevant healthcare experience preferred
  • Experience handling multi-line phone systems preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong data entry skills and comfortable using technology to perform scheduling and process patient registration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented
  • Highly dependable and self-motivated

Additional Information

The position is located indoors in an office environment in our Seattle, WA office.  The incumbent must be able to communicate with other individuals in person, via phone, video, and through email.  The incumbent may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and the job requires the incumbent to use reasoning and judgment to address and solve business problems.  The incumbent must demonstrate manual dexterity in order to use common office equipment. Applicant may be required to lift up to 10 pounds on an occasional basis.  This position requires minimal to no travel.

This position starts at $17.00 an hour, with the opportunity to receive an increase to $18.00 an hour after 90 days and the successful completion of a performance review.
